About the Council
The Mevo’ot HaHermon Regional Council stretches across the Finger of the Galilee — from the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee to the Lebanese border, and from the Jordan River in the east to the Naftali Mountains in the west.
Established in 1976, the council brought together a number of moshavim and community villages under one regional administration.
Within its jurisdiction are thirteen agricultural and community settlements, nine of which are long-established agricultural villages and four younger community-oriented ones.
Located in the scenic Galilee region — a land of flowing streams — the council’s communities have developed local industries such as rural tourism, guesthouses, agricultural attractions, and agritourism, alongside traditional agriculture and other professional sectors.
