Beyahad Foundation

About the Foundation

The Beyahad Foundation works to promote equal opportunity and social mobility for diverse populations by investing in the development and strengthening of regional infrastructures and growth engines — at the intersection of education, technology, and employment — to foster inclusive growth, with a special focus on the Galilee.
In parallel, the foundation invests in civic education for democracy, to strengthen Israel as a Jewish and democratic state guided by the spirit of its Declaration of Independence.

Founded in 2015 by Stella and Yoel Carasso and their three children, under the leadership of Atar Razi Oren, the foundation has since welcomed additional family members to its work.

The foundation was the leading philanthropic partner in the establishment of the Agrifoodtech Valley Management in the Galilee, driven by the belief that strengthening cross-sector collaboration within the northern cluster — uniting key stakeholders around shared goals — has a direct and immediate impact on the region’s social and economic resilience.

Core Activities

The Beyahad Foundation operates in the Eastern Galilee and Beit HaKerem Cluster across four main areas that support the recovery and growth of the region:

  • Advancing the establishment of Tel-Hai University as a regional anchor for growth.
  • Strengthening science and technology education.
  • Promoting quality industry and employment opportunities.
  • Developing regional leadership and resources focused on education and employment.

Leading programs initiated and supported by the foundation over the years include:
The Agrifoodtech Valley Management, the Education–Employment Center at Tel-Hai (University in formation), the Business Hub in Kiryat Shmona and the Eastern Galilee Cluster, the Carasso Center for FoodTech Innovation at the Technion, Centers for Social Justice in northern Israel, the Galilist Leadership Program, the Ahavat Torah Youth Movement, and Atidayim — a vocational engineering program integrating students with employers.
